Thunderbird Inn

The property was built in 1964 and definitely has that mid-century look and style. The staff were very friendly, the room spacious and clean, the doughnuts and coffee delicious. Added bonus were the RC colas and mini MoonPies! If you want fancy this place may not be for you, but if you want nostalgia in a great location stay here!

There's not much that I don't love about Savanna Georgia! The Thunderbird Inn fits right in with the vibe. Loved it!!

Location Considerable amount of mold obvious in first room and paint hanging from ceiling. Second smelled like mold. Entire property is dirty and poorly maintained. Stayed here a few years ago and was cute. It is poor condition now.!

Yes our room was clean but the noise of the traffic made it difficult to sleep. There was mold in the bathroom that we were scared to shower. Also the parking is crazy $25/day. I just think if we are staying there parking should be included. Staff were helpful and professional. We only lasted a night. We left a day early but at lease they refunded parking

Not far from shopping and dining. Good walking distance. We would short stay again, one maybe two nights. The cleaning of things in our room varied from could be better, to okay, to missed the mark, but bed smelled clean and was comfortable to us. They are on a busy road and our room was lower level, but didn’t really have a problem with road noise.

The sign out front is right..fun people stay here. Love the throwback but updated spaces. Front desk staff was super friendly. Will definitely stay again!

We liked the retro feel of the hotel. We loved the donuts every morning. Check in was very smooth and we appreciated the text messages and communication with that. Floors were very clean and fresh. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't get to enjoy any popcorn - none was ever made or available. The shower and bathroom could use a little "tlc" - shower curtain is ripped where it attaches to the shower bar and there are some tiles missing and in bad shape. Would have maybe like to see a workstation desk for some computer work. Better pillows - even though some extras were provided. We understand that this hotel was top 10 in retro hotels in previous years but some extra "tlc" is needed - the A/C unit was blowing out some black stuff.

We had a great time at Thunderbird. We were only there for one night but it was in a great location and we could walk to so many things. The funky decor is fun!

Staff was very kind, Crystal in particular! Crystal went above and beyond for us!

There is virtually no tv there is no curtain so lights come through window at night and tons of street noise so you can’t sleep .

Staff are amazing. Motel needs some work. Shower in room 103 was a disaster, pressure would cut you in half and the walls around shower have severe water damage. A/C unit was covered in dust and needs a new filter. We went the cheap route looking for a weekend getaway but the place has potential and was in prime location.
