Courtyard by Marriott Winston-Salem Hanes Mall

The property was well maintained how my room had a smell. The carpets needed cleaning. My TV in the room wouldn't turn off. They were fully booked so...I wasn't pleased with my stay. The staff was very kind but not helpful

The meh - Rough around the edges. Physical surfaces damaged, delaminated. Stuff was just worn. The chair in my room had a huge bleach stain on it. I mean, they tried. The ? - not once did I see food served at the restaurant. The bar is bottled beer and wine . Occasionally there were people hanging out or working with a laptop. Fridge with soda, water, juice, snacks. Pay at front desk. The nope - 4th floor ice machine dead. Took my room 9 minutes to get hot water in the AM. In room fridge has no freezer and didn’t keep my drinks very cold. AM coffee bar was weak.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It's usually hard for me to sleep but I slept well during my stay.

I didn’t like the fact that we had to buy breakfast and the prices were too high.

Overall, it was great! Customer service was wonderful! The TV was a little troublesome but it was corrected in no time. I did not take advantage of the breakfast because I wanted to rest. The bed was one of the best things about my stay.

My room was very clean. However the room smelled musty and the air conditioner didn’t work that great.

Right off the start, the front staff was inapt! Upon arriving at the room, the bath was not Senior (old folks) friendly! The dam toilet was on the floor. Thankfully, there was a grab bar at the toilet. But if you are aged, it takes some strength to rise from the toilet! The lower you are to the dam floor, the harder it is to rise! The TV was rigged to a minimum volume. After two (2) replacement remotes, the volume could not be adjusted to acceptable level, Coffee cream and facial tissue had not been restocked! I am a Marriott member, and this was not what i am accustomed to!
