Courtyard by Marriott Winston-Salem Hanes Mall

This hotel did not meet the reputation associated with a Marriott hotel. The mattress was old, haggard and bumpy; very uncomfortable to sleep in. It should have been replaced a long time ago. The pillows were all equally hard and uncomfortable. Ended up using a decorative pillow instead. When I tried calling the front desk, the phone didn’t work either. What a great disappointment.

We stayed briefly and it was good enough for a one night stay. Basic hotel with what you need for a quick trip. It was clean and they had breakfast in the morning.

I loved my stay at Courtyard Winston Salem Hanes Mall! The space was exceptional in every way - cleanliness, friendly staff, nice amenities. I would highly recommend them to everyone. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Excellent place to stay and that a pretty good price

The property looked nice and well maintained upon arrival. The check in was pleasant and easy. Once entering the room was fair, until I went into the bathroom. It almost looked like someone used a towel and threw it on back on the towel holder. The floors felt gritty and unhygienic. I did not feel comfortable staying under those conditions so I left and stayed at another hotel nearby.

The hotel was located close to the mall and a variety of restaurants! The room was kinda small but it was comfy! Very nice staff I would stay there again!

When i was able to check out and get away from there. I paid for services that were offered online when i made my NON refundable reservation. Once i arrived the pool was not open, the reason, we just havent gotten around to it yet.. No hotub when i asked for a pool and hotub on my internet search. Also, they claimed a free continental breakfast but there was nothing besides a bistro with ridiculous prices. Everything, the staff was dismissive and just shrugged at my complaints like I didnt matter. Never again will I stay at one again. 151 dollars for one night that was not worth it. Also the shower had dort and hair everywhere when I went to take a shower before checking out. Disgusting, and I should have been refunded or at least let me cancel my reservation. When the pool wasn't open.

Clean, very convenient The elevator has an really awful jerk. We took the stairs.

The lounge and foyer area was clean and nice for waiting. The rooms need to be updated. Beds were very low to the floor. Wallpaper and Towel Rack Needs Updating and adjusting.

It was clean, the staff were friendly... But the beds are SO uncomfortable. Every time I'm at a Marriott, the beds are old and lumpy. The pillows are too small, and the sheets are incredibly thin. For a place I book explicitly to sleep, I expect to sleep at least ok. Not a chance.
