A few things you need to know before booking. 1) there is no elevator so you will be walking up multiple flights of steep, uneven stairs in order to reach your room.2) the walls are very thin so be prepared to know whats going on in every room on your floor. 3) it has those heavy electronic key doors which rattle walls everytime someone goes in or out. 4) no private bathrooms which gets pretty gross really fast

The rest of the staff were very polite The biggest problem I found was that they were and still are showing part of the hotel eg check in/break out area which is now not there but instead it’s a bar separate from the hotel

Not much complicated Cheap but excellent No elevator and the stairs are going to fall apart

Our room door only locked occasionally. No lift. stairs on a slant An education but met our budget!

Clean and comfortable!!

Location is great, bed was comfortable and I liked that there was a small sink in the room and an AC. The room was clean. For a short trip, this is a really good place, and also for the price. Oh, and there is free coffee/tea downstairs which I really appreciated. Restrooms/Showers are in the floor, it was clean-ish. But one bathroom was clogged in the morning and there wasn't enough toilet paper. There are no elevators which was okay for me, but keep that in mind.

Great spot and great location. Its a bit small bit good value for money for New York. The shared bathroom is very good, always clean and spacious. They also keep luggage after checkout.

Clean & very well located Very noisy outside at night. Some of the staff were good but one in particular was very rude

Amazing property & great location, Front desk staff was phenomenal. King Suite only had one outlet & some of the corners it looked like it hadn’t been swept/mopped but could only be noticed if intentionally looking for flaws.

No elevator makes too tough to go 4th floor 2-3 times a day

Sharing a bathroom wasn’t as horrible as I was expecting, but walking up the scary, creaky, uneven narrow staircase was not my favorite. Especially after doing 20k steps around NYC, climbing 4 stories and then having our key not work. Twice.

I'd say The Flat was OK, a pretty good value for the price in NYC. The amenities were a bit run down; the carpets were a bit threadbare, the stairs leaned, and the toilet paper holder had been pulled out the wall. Rooms are small, but functional.

The hotel location is perfect for shopping, entertainment and everything else My first room didn’t have a bedside lamp. The other one had a hole between the window frame and the AC unit. My third room was perfect, complete with a writing desk.

The place is good value for money, in a decent area for travelling to places but also the nearby walkable places are good. Quick and easy check in, nice polite people who couldn't of helped enough.

There’s no elevators and the only staff that helped me were the cleaning ladies. If you plan on making a trip WITHOUT suitcase i say it’s good but the rooms are overly tiny for the price.

No elevators

Location Room was so noisy from the road window wouldn't shut properly because of AC and i needed ear plugs when garbage truck and all the trucks went past thought i was next to a construction site and when people were parting down the road heard everything. Bed was very uncomfortable.

I went to reception and clearly explained multiple times that I wanted to extend my stay by two nights, with checkout on Tuesday. I was specifically told that booking directly through the property would result in a better rate than Booking.com, so I showed the rate I had found online. The result? I was booked for only one night, yet charged the rate I had originally shown for two nights. It is difficult to understand how such a basic request could be misunderstood after being repeated multiple times. What was even more disappointing was the response afterward. Rather than acknowledging the mistake and trying to find a reasonable solution, the staff showed little interest in correcting the situation. I was essentially left to absorb the cost and inconvenience of an error that was not mine. Whether this was incompetence or a deliberate attempt to take advantage of a guest, the outcome was the same: misleading information, poor service, and zero accountability. I chose to leave and take my business elsewhere. I would strongly recommend that future guests double-check every detail and every charge before agreeing to anything.
