We had a great time at Heritage Hotel. The building and the room are old but everything is clean and works well. You can even let you luggage for the day ($2/bag), that was great for us. Nothing, I would come back again for a day or two.

I've never stayed in a dirtier hotel than this one. Our room looked like it had not been cleaned at all when we first got there. The sheets were stained, the bathroom had been recently used, they left a used toilet paper roll, the floor hadn't been mopped, everything was covered in just, there was blood on the walls, and eyelashes stuck onto the mirror in the room. The staff had someone clean the bathroom when we got there but the rest of the room was still horrible. worst sleep ever. The staff was very nice and switched us rooms, that one was cleaner but still dirty. We wanted to switch hotels but at that point it was too late. We just made do with what we had. The second room had a shower that was broken and the water would spill all over the bathroom floor. It was in a great location but horrible conditions. Only thing I can't complain about was how nice the staff was. Never staying here again.

Clean and tidy Lack of breakfast facilities.

The space was very clean and the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. As advertised, the rooms were smaller since this was an older building, and the view outside the window was non-existent. However, when in New York you're really not going to be sitting in your room looking out a window so the absence of a view was not critical.

The location of the property was amazing. So close to subway access. Bed was very comfy

This hotel was in a great neighborhood! Staff was friendly, hotel was basic but clean.

Older location. Room had twin beds on rollers. Not sure about the hotel. Probably will not be back

If you, like my husband and I, are visiting NYC for the sake of being in the city and not in your hotel room, the Heritage is a perfectly solid choice. Among the hotels we considered, it was one of the more reasonable options from a price perspective. The front desk staff were always kind and professional. We had everything we needed in our room. We felt safe. But you should expect a very average experience in terms of the hotel being pretty dated inside, rooms and bathrooms being small, and limited amenities. During a couple hot days, we appreciated the window AC unit that allowed us to stay cool while we slept. The location was convenient as a base for our days spent crisscrossing Manhattan with forays to Brooklyn and the Bronx. Overall a solid 3-3.5 star hotel that met our needs.

Employees were so nice and the location is so close to times square/MSG! Great stay for concerts

The hotel has lifts which was a bonus with our heavy luggage. Room was very generous size - our room had a bath & view of the very top of Empire state building. Location amazing - 2mins & you were on 5th Ave & Broadway right in the heart of midtown Manhattan. No breakfast included (paid option) but around the corner from a great Italian coffee shop Eataly - great coffee! Easy walk to subway. Nothing really I didn't like - had family staying in another room, was a little difficult to navigate to get to their room. I guess I do like a venue which has breakfast included. But good coffee just around the corner.

Nothing much except the location. The hotel is extremely old, and not very clean. The staff is rude (at least one). I have not had my room made up for 3 days despite asking.

Clean and safe. Good location if you walk from 5th Ave. A bit far from penn station. If you can get a big discount consider staying. It is run down. It is over priced and under delivers. Staff are nice. Feels a bit yuk at first. But it is fine. Maybe 1 or 2 stars

Location, very close to key subway stations. The staff is very nice and helpful Rooms are very dark and small. The hotel is old, the hallways are narrow and sometimes you encounter trash bags while the cleaning staff work

Location was excellent for my Harry Styles concert at MSG I sat in the lobby after checking out for about an hour and it was so hot
