Was charged $39 after my stay and never received an itemized bill or any communication after I asked about the reason for the charge. I will update if they respond, but I'd avoid unless you want random charges after your stay.

Good location. Friendly staff. Parking was a little confusing for somebody not from here but other than that would stay again.

Our stay was great. Family of 5 (3adults, 2 kids). Our first room the A/C did not work and toilet was leaking, the staff did give us 2 fans for night 1 and reimbursed us for this night. The next day we were given a suite which was a great accommodation mostly for the A/C the difference was amazing and refreshing especially in this NYC 100+ heat wave that came in July. Overall this hotel needs a lot of upgrading, the breakfast is a very very simple breakfast with muffins, juice, water, mini donuts and yogurts. If you just need a place to sleep this is for you, but if you're looking for that "wow" experience this is not for you. The bests and sheets have stains, toilet leaks, broken beds, hotel was very outdated but overall the staff make up for it very sweet, very accommodating, very reasonable, and overall we kept hearing "we want you to enjoy your trip" which everything was better because of them, they made this stay worth it.

Amazing

Staff I encountered were great. Breakfast - eh? Mini muffins, mini yogurt. You can hear the action on the street really well because it has original old windows. Fair trade for me - the windows look gave it an old school feel. It is time for 'glow-up' on the rooms.

Also, I was surprised for a $400 deposit. On checkout I was told that I was not going to receive the entire deposit because of $25dlls daily fee plus another charge. I never get those when I reserve thru expedia. This a hotel fee that I was not informed of on check in. The location, cleanliness were great. Thank you

The most serious problem was a clogged shower that we reported to the front desk. Unfortunately, the issue was never properly addressed. We discovered that water from the sink and bidet was backing up into the shower, along with visible bodily fluids, creating an unsanitary and potentially hazardous situation. Instead of sending a qualified plumber, the hotel sent a bellboy to address the problem, which was completely inappropriate and ineffective. The issue remained unresolved throughout our stay. When I later contacted Hotels.com for assistance, the hotel falsely claimed that I had never reported the clogged shower. The hotel should review its surveillance footage and internal records to verify that the report was made. The lack of honesty, accountability, and concern for guest health and safety was unacceptable. I was equally disappointed that Hotels.com did not advocate for its customer or help resolve the situation. New York City has many excellent hotels that prioritize cleanliness, guest safety, and customer service. Unfortunately, my experience with City Club Hotel fell far below those standards, and I would not recommend staying there.

The staff was amazing! Jay and Yaya helped me greatly during check-in and answered all questions I had! My room was comfortable and clean, and was well stocked with beverages and snacks! The elevator was slow, but not uncomfortable by any means.
