Great location!!!

Beautiful iconic hotel. Very comfortable. Great customer service Nothing

Great location. The room was updated. Nice bathroom and walk-in closet. Friendly staff and the men at the doors were very courteous and helped with cabs and luggage.
-
Very convenient location, near events and transportation. The staff (front desk, bar area, cleaning staff ... all) were friendly, helpful, and available ... excellent. The room was clean. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. I love that historic decor was retained over the years.
-
It only had one working elevator. It was small and it took a long time to arrive. Lastly, they don’t provide guests a flat sheet on the bed. It’s just a fitted sheet and a comforter.
-
The renovation is really stunning. We were most disappointed that the cat had retired!
-
Love my time in there
-
Poor service, unfriendly staff
-
Doormen were extremely polite and welcoming in comparison with the staff at the front desk… could benefit from a bit more cheerfulness.

Good location, very nice staff, very comfortable. I know the rooms are small but it would be nice to have a small fridge at least.
-
The one of the elevators didn’t work. And it seems that they don’t have a service elevator so the staff clogged up the one elevator during rush hours. They had a confusing destination fee of $45 that if you use it they won’t charge you or something.. very confusing. Food wasn’t just ok. Tasted processed

It was quiet and the clientele were too. A find so near busy, noisy Times Square. Bathroom shower is badly designed. One cannot shower without soaking one's hair ... and no shower cap provided.

We are long-term patrons of the Algonquin and our primary reason is the provision of exceptional customer service and care provided by everyone from Marissa at the front desk, Jimmy at the door and the entire staff at reception, front door, lounge, restaurant, housekeeping, engineering… Everyone provides kind, caring, knowledgeable, and professional customer care.
-
It was an atmospheric and historic hotel, though we felt that recent modernisation may have impaired some of the celebrated 1920s atmosphere. Though some effort had been made to retain/recreate the 'New Yorker' period, we felt that more of the original could have been retained.

Loved it!

Great location, beautiful historic building & nice upgrades Inconsistent AC that needed 2 emergency repairs. Seems to still be working the bugs out of new remodeling. Exorbitant bar prices & breakfast.
