Excellent location

I would give this hotel an all around meh. The room was generally clean, but the bathroom shower needed some help. The drain that looks like it belongs in a subway instead of a hotel room would be a good start. The room and the bathroom really needed a deep clean. I also pointed out the absolute stench coming from the AC vent, but I'm not sure if the front desk called the engineer as promised. I didn't ask again because I figured "homeless guy" smell was just part of the charm of NY. Ugh. I only ate at the hotel restaurant once, and while the view was great, the breakfast was not. The eggs tasted like they were cooked in a salt water bath, the potatoes were cold, and there was no decaf coffee. Really, Hilton, you're a major property in mid-town Manhattan and you don't offer decaf? I've stayed all over the world, and I get it in Europe, but not here. Also, staff was a little unconcerned. We were the only ones therefor a while, and no one asked if I wanted a refill on my water or iced tea. Nor were we checked on once for anything else except the check. I had to ask for pepper?? Toast was good.

Great location and kid friendly.

This is a great hotel and in walking distance of everything. I really enjoyed my stay the only thing is with how many guest they have they only have two elevators that are slow. Other than that I would keep booking this hotel.

The staff was super friendly ! The rooms were very clean and well maintained

This property was in the perfect location to get to all the main attractions in this part of town. The room was very clean, and it was nice to have a strong air conditioner in the room. The staff was helpful and accommodating.

Rooms are dated

My room had a terrible odor, especially in the bathroom. They tried to turn the AC up to mask the smell upon entering the room. When I asked housekeeping about it, she just sprayed air freshener. On the last day of my two night stay I used the public washroom on the 6th floor and it was disgusting. One stall's toliet was overflowing with waste and the other two had debris on the floor, there was one that was half way decent for use. The staff were pleasant and helpful, yet the cleanliness was underwhelming.

However, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a special or more luxurious stay, or if you want to spend time enjoying the hotel itself. There are no real lobby or communal areas. My biggest complaint was the noise. The soundproofing is very poor. I could hear people in neighbouring rooms, conversations in the hallway, doors constantly opening and closing, and housekeeping throughout both the day and night. It really affected the overall experience. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Rooms are not soundproof

You don't need to rent a car. You can walk to every place from there. And if you need a long ride just call an Uber. The hotel is clean and the staff are great too. Thanks for the service.
