Embassy Suites by Hilton New York Manhattan Times Square

This is a well situated hotel, about 10 minutes from Penn Station and close to Broadway. Rooms have a convenient small fridge and microwave. Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. There is a nice balcony outside the gym. Hotel is perfect for travellers travelling alone.

Positives - Great location ! Negatives - horrible elevators. Unusually long wait times , over crowded elevators and elevators stop at every single floor making for an unpleasant stay. Also the mandatory $30 a day fee is very confusing. You get a $30 credit back a day to use at that bar / restaurant but you still have to pay tax and tip plus the items are all overpriced leading to you spending well more than the $30 a day credit. Quick tip as well, the bell man offered to get us car service to airport and told us it was $105 everything included. We got dropped off and it was $115 ( only $105 if cash) and they still asked for tip. Just would’ve been nice to know the up charge for using credit card as I would’ve brought cash.

Embassy Suites is a nice hotel. The breakfast and reception is a plus. The hotel is in walking distance to shopping and broadway.

Small dining space to accommodate guests during breakfast. Food not as much choice as other embassy suites i have been to.

This is a well put together hotel the amenities and staff and place is very nice one excellent

The rooms are typically small in NY. The size is not conducive to more than two adults and a child if you get the room with a sofa bed. The closest space and drawers are limited. It was great to have a microwave and frig in the room. However, the placement of the TV and stand in front of the window took away from the view. I recommend mounting on the wall in front of the sofa. We selected this type of room and rate based on having a view. We would stay at the location again and highly recommend the location if you want the vibe of downtown Manhattan.

Exceptional

This was a nice hotel. I have been to other Embassy Hotels that were a little better. The room was nice. It was a little small but it's New York so that's how they are. The breakfast was very good. The made to order omelets are great. The breakfast room is a little small. Again it's New York. Sometimes hard to get a table. The evening drinks were nice. The staff was just ok. They only did what was needed. The guy at the bar was not very friendly. All in all we had a good stay.

Place is a very good location and services was generally great.

We didn’t like anything about the property It was a poor and stressful experience from both the property and booking.com We were mis-sold the room - the images on booking.com do not reflect the rooms we were offered at check-in. We booked a room for 3 adults with a view of the Empire State Building - when we checked in there was no view, and the room was only set up for 2 people. A second room offered as an alternative, was an identical room on a different floor. The hotel confirmed the images on booking.com are for an accessible room for 2 people - and in fact the room we had booked didn’t exist. We asked for a full refund, and this was refused, spending over 2 hours bouncing between the property and booking.com and getting absolutely nowhere, while both kept saying it was for the other to resolve the issue. We ended up having to leave the property and find alternative accommodation, with the bank helping us to get a refund for services / products that have not been provided. All this despite being a longstanding Hilton Honors and booking.com customer. Additionally we didn’t see any signs of renovations, overall the lobby and rooms seemed tired, it’s not a welcoming environment.

I am a big fan of Embassy but this location I wasn’t crazy about it. Very first night we got room next to roof top theatre. It was extremely loud couldn’t sleep until 3AM. Next day we changed the room which was better but it’s not soundproof. Breakfast is as usual included but when we went to get it there is no seats available. We were told to make plate and take it in room😳 In morning I don’t know because of rush or some other reason elevators are extremely slow so everyday we end up taking stairs for four floors. It’s busy location so we had to wait in long line to check in. Overall I think we will choose some other hotel if visited in Time square again.
