The room was clean and spacious(we booked a suite). Person at the front desk during check in was kind of cold and did not make me feel that I am welcome .

Good location. I was disappointed that I had booked an upgraded executive room. However it had absolutely no view. The person that checked us in wasn’t welcoming.

Room given was on 17th floor of 20 floor hotel. Be wary of the room description. Immediate foreground view was of rooftop water tanks. Empire State is clearly viewable, however all furniture in room points to the wall in the opposite direction. So lying/sitting back on the bed the view you immediately see is not worth mentioning. Swivel your head and neck back anti-clockwise 100 degrees and you may see the ESB. Though this is not sustainable, and not advisable for long periods!!! Room and Bathroom cleanliness were very good. Staff on the whole were very good, aside from one specific front desk worker who acted bias towards us with distrust and unfairness. On final morning of stay was rudely called out for whether breakfast was paid for, despite another couple from the same lift walked straight through without being challenged. Breakfast was very good. Did not use the bar. Room size is 300 sq ft however the bathroom occupies much more space than necessary, and therefore actual room size is compromised. Queen bed leaves little space either size. And with two large suitcases plus two carry-on bags space becomes tight very fast. Would not recommend if travelling for several days and undertaking several different activities. Our travel was from abroad for over 1.5 weeks and not limited to NYC but also to other cities. Particular room more suited to short city break stays.

Great hotel. I live staying here. Been coming for years. Always good.

We booked at incredibly short notice as we had turned up to the hotel we had booked already (Empire Hotel) and found our rooms there to be dirty and the staff rude. We cancelled our booking and booked Le Soleil the same evening. We eventually turned up tired and stressed and were greeted by your Night Manager Andre Walker who was exceptional in every way. He was friendly, welcoming, kind and all round a lovely person. It was such a relief to arrive! Our rooms were clean and spacious with great views and everything we needed. I was given a kettle and some fresh milk so that I could have tea, and my daughters loved their coffee machine. Each night we were there, Andre greeted us when we came in from the theatre or restaurants and asked us how our evening had been, remembered what we had told him we were going off to do, and had a nice chat. It made us feel like we were coming home each evening! We were so impressed with him. Thank you so much for looking after us and making a stay in New York so friendly I would have loved a reasonably priced breakfast option at the hotel so that we could have stayed for breakfast. It was a little overpriced.

We really liked our stay here! It was centrally located and clean. The staff was very helpful as well. If I’m ever staying in midtown again, I would definitely book here in the future.
-
Location and staff very helpful thanks Concierge The sofa bed the mattress was there but it was not thick enough you literally could feel the metal I had to complain and they gave me an extra mattress but it’s meant having to lift it morning and night

Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Morning coffee, tea kettle requested and in the room, comfortable for our whole group. Bathroom door was difficult to slide open, with a handle only on the outside, so this may be an issue if anyone has limitations in strength or dexterity. Rooms were quiet, even on the 4th floor where we were. Location is great to 34th St/Herald Sq station, maybe 5 minute walk. Will stay again!

This is my second time at Le Soleil and I had an exceptional time. The rooms are clean and SPACIOUS — a rare find in New York. I am already planning a longer stay for next time. Meredith and Nicole at the front desk gave me the warmest welcome and took such good care of me. Honestly one of the best hotels in Midtown.
