Executive Hotel Le Soleil New York

Very good

Great central location. Room was clean and modern. We rented a “suite” however there was no separation between rooms and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Think 70’s pull out bed with thin mattress and springs poking through the mattress. We booked early and requested a room with a view and the hotel told us they would try to accommodate our request. Our view was of the building about 20 feet from us which was a construction site. Hotel was quiet and the staff friendly but not overly so.

Staff was strangely unhelpful, we asked for a second robe for the 2 people in our room and the cleaners removed the robe each day. Some of the furniture in the room was broken and quite poorly designed. The room was pretty cramped, even though I specifically booked a large room - I travel a good amount and it seemed like a downgrade from what we booked.

Location, room size, friendly staff, 2 tv's, fridge, bathrobe, hygiene products Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Lighting was strange. Sitting area and sleeping area were on one master switch.

Location was great, bathroom was nice. The power outlets didn't work , except in the bathroom. My phone literally died and if I hadn't woken up in the middle of the night I would have slept thru my alarm.

All the employees make you feel like this is an apartment you live in rather than just a hotel. All are very friendly, and accomodating, especially: Mike (front desk), Adrian (front desk), Jamie (bellman) and Stephen (Mgr.) Stayed for 2-nights with traveling with daughters and gf for the Tunnel to Towers 5K. You got a "have a good day" every time you left, and a "how was your day" upon return. Had two rooms; Queen Empire View (very small but well appointed, nice bathroom, remember you are very close to Empire State bldg so you have to move close to window to see top, but we knew this ahead of time), Queen suite (larger, with separate sitting area, great for daugthers.) Location is great. Multiple nice restaurant on the block, one with a speakeasy. Multiple bars. Herald Square subway is 1/2 block away. 10 min. walk to Time Square. Also close to: Penn Station, NY Library, Bryant Park, Morgan Library. We took subway to Central Park (8 min), Washinton Sq/Greenwich Village (4 min), and (8 min)

Although the Midtown location is convenient, I felt that the photos and overall presentation of the hotel were misleading. This is a small boutique hotel, with only about 10 rooms per floor, and the name “Executive Hotel” does not really reflect the experience. The breakfast was particularly disappointing. Although it was included in the room rate, it was not worth having. The quality was more comparable to a basic motel breakfast, with very little variety. The sandwiches were dry, there was only one coffee option, and the same food—including the same fruit—was served for more than four days. The service on my last day was especially frustrating. I asked the bellboy about an airport shuttle, and he told me there was none. I then came downstairs with my luggage and waited for an Uber. While I was waiting, the same bellboy told me to cancel the Uber because the hotel shuttle was available—for $75. This was confusing and felt misleading, especially since I had specifically asked about the shuttle earlier an hour ago. I have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels, but this is one of the few I would not return to. For a small boutique hotel competing with larger chains, I expected more thoughtful hospitality and better service. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations.

Our room was very comfortable, well maintained, and had a great city feel. After long days of walking around New York, it was the perfect place to come back to and relax. The staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay, and we truly felt well taken care of. The location was one of our favorite things about the hotel. We were within easy walking distance of Times Square, the Empire State Building, restaurants, shopping, and so many other attractions, while still being able to come back to a comfortable and relaxing hotel at the end of the night. This was my first trip to New York City, and staying at Le Soleil helped make the entire weekend even more memorable. I would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel in Manhattan. Five stars from us!

The staff here were absolutely delightful, and the room was incredibly well-equipped! I have stayed at several other hotels in NYC, and they usually lack the little things like robes and slippers. This hotel, however, thought of absolutely everything. While that should be a given, my past experiences in the city made this extra touch really stand out. I loved that I didn't have to call the front desk for anything. To top it off, the bed sheets and comforter were so comfortable and crispy clean. I would absolutely stay here again!
