Beautiful new hotel with large rooms and excellent customer service.

Excellent service and the staff was very professional. The ambassador Marcus always made sure we felt welcome and taken care of.

The design is the star here: luxe decor, a genuinely sexy vibe, and a level of artfulness you don't see in most new NYC hotels. Rooms are a nice size, spotlessly clean, and the water pressure is fantastic. Food is good. Great location if you're spending time downtown around Chelsea and Tribeca. The arrival, though, was a rough first impression. We got in around noon off a long travel day and were immediately hit with "valet is $120 a night with no in-and-out privileges, are you okay with that?" We asked about self-parking nearby and got "I don't know." Nobody told us the hotel has a complimentary car service for the area until much later. Our room wasn't ready which is fair at noon, but no one offered so much as a coffee while we waited, and we were handed a construction notice instead. There's no real waiting area, so after two hours over lunch we ended up standing around the small check-in space with a growing crowd of other guests. Room was finally ready 30 minutes before the posted check-in time. A few other things: the bathroom is oddly laid out, with toilet, shower, and sinks all in separate compartments and the shower in between. Only two towel hooks, each barely holding one towel, and one was already pulling out of the wall. Might be growing pains. I'd give it another shot because the property really is lovely, but for a hotel positioned this high-end, the welcome needs work.

Amazing service

Faena leaves a very pleasant impression: the hotel is new, fresh, beautiful, with excellent design and renovation, and a very attentive team. What I especially liked is that the team still feels new — in the best possible way. There is energy, enthusiasm, a real desire to help, and genuine care for the guests. Not just the standard “How are you?” after which nobody actually expects an answer, but truly attentive service. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and everything still feels fresh and well thought out. Breakfasts are very good — and in New York, that is almost a separate attraction. The location is also very convenient: it is easy to get to many places, everything you need is nearby, and there is a nice Italian restaurant right across the street, which is especially useful when, after walking around the city all day, you no longer have the strength for a full gastronomic expedition. Overall, this is a very good, modern, and comfortable hotel with a great atmosphere and a strong team. An excellent choice for a stay in New York, whether for a few days or a longer visit.

Solid dining experience, food was exquisite, good vibes with the live entertainment while dining with continued experience upstairs with amazing afterparty atmosphere. Staff was amazing - helpful and very pleasant. The only thing I didn't love was that I couldn't keep my room windows open without folks seeing in; next time we'll have to stay higher than 4th floor. That said, room was amazing, we didn't want to leave the next day.
