Dated hotel, poor condition of hotel furniture, lobby sofa was stingy and dirty. Bathroom needs major renovation. Cooling/heating unit difficult to set to desired temperature and holiday inn service team weren't able to set desired temperature either. Preoum room also didn't have a safe in the room.

An excellent day from the moment I checked in to the time I checked out. Will definitely stay here next year.

Good people and pleasant experience. Knowledgible front desk

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and nice and cold with the a/c in humid summer weather. Very conveniently located with a subway stop right there.

Perfect hotel for a family stay. You don't need much from your hotel in NYC other than it being clean and well-maintained, being in a good location and having a metro station nearby, and this hotel checks all three. Staff is nice and helpful, the rooms are a little small, but, once again, you don't spend a lot of time in your room while in NYC. Beds are comfortable and air conditioning works fine.

4 of us stayed 2 nights. (2 adults, and 2 kids). It was a great visit. It’s a good neighborhood and it’s close to the subway. Good staff. The free coffee, tea and water was great. Good shower pressure. Great price. The lower east side is nice, but I think we are more midtown people.

The price is good and is conveniently located near a subway station. The address they advertise should be updated, as we couldn't properly find it the first day, and it was late at night. Right entrance address is 96 Suffolk St. The cleaning staff was really friendly. The reception staff was a little rough, maybe they're too straightforward NY style, but could be better, though; during our check-in, the lady scolded who I believe was a trainee right in front of us, it was really awkward. I believe you should always congratulate in public and give feedback privately. But well, other than that, we did have a good time, the room was spacious, for a NYC room, and the location was good to move around Manhattan. Chinatown and Little Italy are walkable from there, which was a plus.

Clean room, helpful staff

Booked multiple rooms through Expedia. When I checked into the hotel, was told the reservation was different on their end compared to what I paid for through Expedia. Apparently they only had 1 room under my name when it should’ve been multiple. Had to rearrange sleeping arrangements for my group due to getting assigned worse rooms than what I booked through Expedia. I booked double-bed city view rooms and ended up with a king room with views of a dumpster.

The room was clean and the staff was very kind and friendly

Clean room, helpful staff and air conditioning worked well. No keycard security in place in lobby elevators to prevent any unauthorized individuals from accessing floor levels.

Loved the rooms. Expected a tub but got a shower instead. Decent size with fridge & microwave.

Night stand drawer wouldn't stay closed and was always in the way. Printed material in restaurant had wrong hours so missed a meal. Restaurant got our order wrong and was informed we couldn't do anything about it as there was a language problem in the kitchen. We ran out of body wash and went without for three days as staff kept brining shampoo because they were unable to read the labels. We had a crises as we left passports and money in the safe and realized after we were on the train for Boston. After call, after call, after call, after call, we were informed by the front desk that they would not check the safe and the room supervisor would need to call us. We started calling at 8:00 am and didn't receive a return call until 3:00 pm, too late to hop on a train to retrieve the items. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk told us we would have difficult with the room key which we did and returned to the front desk. The lady then helped us get into the room. Why did she initially tell us the trick to get the room key to work? It was irresponsible just telling us we were going to have difficulty with the keys. The front desk provided useless information for use of the subways.

Rooms are small. Clean and comfortable. Location is a little sketchy but we had no issues. They lock the doors in lobby at 7:00 PM.

AC controls would not allow the fan to be on continously

The staff was so helpful. The room was clean. The only downfall is no room service. You need to ask for clean towels. But other than that, we had good experience. Subway was about 2 minutes walking distance. They do sell hygiene items and snacks in case you get hungry or forgot anything. I highly recommend this hotel. I will stay here again.
