Worst experience ever.never again

This hotel is definitely for the quick and the charming! The hotel itself seems like a hole in the wall (based on its available size), but don't let it fool you! The staff were wonderful, the accessibility was fantastic, and it was really nice to know that each floor only accommodates like 6 rooms (instead of the typical 45 per floor or however). I was also pleased that there was minimal noise from the ground floor (I was on the 7th floor), so sleeping was definitely a breeze. My stay came with food credit for dinner and breakfast credit every morning at Cognac (the restaurant attached). My only gripe was my blackout curtains didn't fully shield from the lights on the street (I had to move them in a way to block out 99% of it). Other than that, I'm looking forward to staying here again when I visit!

Break fast was included when booking but give only vouchers of $25 for one night per room not per person again is unclear again charged over the voucher given and my wife charged full for breakfast. Hence used only one voucher and while giving back second voucher for second night which is in not used again charge $7.50 for nothing . Overall I will give zero stars to the service given .

The hotel has big clean rooms that are nicely appointed with good AC and fast elevators. There is a $27 resort fee per room per night of stay for use of the fitness center and for the complimentary wine reception every day at 5 pm. We did not go to the reception, but we did try to use the fitness center that advertised 2 peloton bikes. Neither bike was usable. One was missing the knob to adjust the seat height. The other bike was not connected to the internet and stayed off. Both were in bad shape and the water bottle holders were cracked off. There were only used towels strewn about and the water machine was broken. We informed the staff at the beginning of our 4 night stay but there were no improvements. This is a good hotel if you aren't planning on using the bikes. You also have to factor in the extra charge for staying there.

Front desk is minimally staffed.

Very good stay very easy and very clean
-
Perfect last minute hotel! Room was very clean and spacious. Front desk team was very helpful.

The hotel feels dated, and the rooms would benefit from some renovation. I also noticed that the corners of the room were not as clean as I would have expected. One inconvenience was the lack of an ice machine—you have to request ice from the front desk each time. The lobby is quite small, and because we stayed on the third floor, street noise was very noticeable. The windows and walls are thin, so be prepared to hear plenty of the sounds of New York, especially if you're a light sleeper. That said, the staff was the highlight of the stay. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, courteous, and eager to help, which made the experience much more pleasant.

Trip was lovely. Hotel was in a great location and staff were always pleasant. Would definitely return.

The pictures on the website look better than the reality of the property. The location was great, near restaurants, the subway and convenience stores. Breakfast was pretty good and included in my stay. Gratuity was included unfortunately but service was fast and attentive. Overall, it was a decent stay.

The room was clean and well prepared.

I chose 48Lex because of the location and value. Both exceeded my expectations. However my interaction with staff was a surprise… I interacted with many staff members, (including the restaurant), and they were all articulate, professional and knowledgeable. From check in to check out they were all excellent.

The non-chalet entrance private entrance on to the property is the key to safe a secure. Such a friendly and welcoming greeting upon check in the experience started off amazing. Entering the room the standards elevated into supreme luxury with views on the city skyline. Great bedding and new modern bathroom gave the feeling of a boutique establishment. Breakfast in the morning was more than enough with friendly staff with suggestions and availability to change and meet the consumers needs when dinning. Outstanding stay from beginning to end, and the farmers market that shut down the street in the morning provided a quite and cozy waking on the morning.

Everything would’ve been perfect for us if the elevators worked. Will be back!! Really enjoyed their customer service - top notch. Great staff! Love it for location, cleanliness, and style

Bathroom door was broken when we arrived. They sent maintenance right away but wasn’t fixed. Was able to move rooms right away. Room was clean. No fan in the bathroom which is odd. Good location. Friendly staff

Unfortunately, the hotel lacked many of the amenities we look for when staying in New York. There was no real lobby or reception area to relax in, no bar, and no inviting common spaces. As a result, the property felt more like an Airbnb than a full-service hotel. We’ve stayed at several hotels in New York City, and one of the things we enjoy is being able to unwind in the lobby, have a drink at the hotel bar, or visit a rooftop bar after a day of sightseeing. Those amenities really enhance the overall experience, and we missed them here. While the room itself met our expectations, the lack of hotel amenities means we probably would not choose to stay here again.

Nice, clean and well kept facility. We didn’t utilize the gym however there was a 2nd floor lounge that was nice to hang out in. The room was nice and tidy.
