Hotel Hayden

The hotel breakfast was very bare-bones, which we weren’t expecting. It also looked like they had recently completed renovations but forgotten some aspects. The AC unfortunately didn’t truly work the two nights we were there. The location was amazing in relation to MSG and the subway. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They had toiletries in the room and toothpaste on request which was helpful when planning my carry on.

Unfortunately there were some construction/ repairs in the building and one of the elevators had its card reader broke with the device electronics exposed. My room door was extremely heavy and did not stay open without me holding it. Imagine trying to bring in a stroller and bags inside the room! My biggest disappointment was the breakfast which they called continental and hyped it as it was the best in the street. The baked goods were of medium quality, there was no juice available, no bottled water (you'd have to ask for it at the front desk), no non-dairy options, and the bananas were as green as they could be. Also, there were no bread options, and when I asked about it the answer was: "Here's all kind of breads, croissants, muffins, and donuts, this is continental breakfast!" - kind of dismissive. At least they could have bagels, it's NYC after all! So, if breakfast is important for you either you lower your expectations or this is not the place for you. I do hope they fix it tho!

The hpusekeeping were keeping room clean and tidy regardless the delay in cleaning services every day but they were trying their level best. The AC regardless it supposed ro be centeral AC but i set to 60-62 F while room tempretire never went down more than 78 F informed hotel and no action. Breakfast was so poor and nearly no choices regardless continental wording but it was extremly poor. Pathroom had no ventilation to take out steam and fumes of hot wster of the sshower and that was exposing me to the danger of exhaustion and carbon monoxide inhalation risk. That was transffered to managment several times but no actoon and they claimed it is not working at all!!!!???

Good Location and spacious rooms Windows not sound proof it was Nosiy , house keeping was poor , room cleaning was not at all good. Had to complain twice in a week.

This was a nice place, it was very clean and had everything that i needed. The AC/Heat worked, the water was hot, the sheets were clean, the room was clean. It was a good hotel. Reception for check-in was great.

Location was amazing, close to subway stations (yellow and red line. Walking distance to Times Square, Madison square garden. Close to restaurants, drugstore, coffee shops, which was awesome. It also felt super safe, even late at night. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they brought us extra towels, and seemed very cheerful. the room was not that nice, felt humid inside, there was no fan in the bathroom, so it got really hot in there, there was water damage in the room, on the walls, looked like it needed to be redone. The breakfast that was included was not great, didn’t even go back the second day: we just went to dunking around the corner The room was also not very sound proof, we heard everything outside, all the sirens, even people talking outside .

The only thing that could get better is breakfast, but it was enough for me. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff-10/10 Breakfast- 8/10 Bath Room- 7/10 - shower in bathroom was very messy, water goes everywhere due to the shower head being old and the half glass not covering enough to handle the out of control water. Bedroom- 8/10 - Could not get the TV to work. Didn’t care enough to ask for assistance, the room is small, they could ditch the desk to create more room. Full mirror inside the armoire which makes it difficult to utilize. You have to open the doors which blocks the very small walkthrough space. Overall- I would definitely stay here again, but would not be my first choice.

The hotel definitely needs a refurbishment. Breakfast was just bread and muffins, although the coffee was appreciated. Only one elevator was working and took a very long time to get up and down. Staff very friendly.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Hayden. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is well located, making it easy to explore New York. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Love that it's in the middle of the Flower District too. Low key, clean and my home away from home.

The housekeeping staff was wonderful whenever we needed new towels. The outlets and tv weren’t working in our room because they were replacing them. Needed a little bit of some maintenance on the upkeep.

The employees were phenomenal. Bed wasn't sure about comfort level at first but I slept pretty good. There was no comforter on the bed. Also, the lighting on the bathroom was too dim. The shower pressure for being an open shower the water sprayed all over the whole bathroom.
