Mayfair Inn and Suites

Serious room security issue and no management follow-up I stayed at Mayfair Inn & Suites Sept. 26–28, 2026. The location was convenient, but I had a serious security issue that was handled very poorly. While I was inside my room, the hotel assigned another guest my already-occupied room and gave him a working key. He unlocked my door and attempted to enter. The only thing that stopped him was the swing-bar security latch. The other guest was apologetic and clearly had no idea the room was occupied. My concern is entirely with the hotel issuing a functioning key to someone else for my room. When I reported it, the front desk repeatedly called it “a glitch” and said it would not happen again. When I said I was considering not staying my second night, I was asked, “Would you like to check out now?” I repeatedly requested management follow-up and never received it. There were also smaller issues: no toilet paper upon arrival, no room phone, and a nonworking TV remote. After checkout, Hotels.com contacted the property regarding my complaint, and the hotel declined my request for a partial refund. I cannot overlook another guest being given a key that opened my occupied room, followed by management’s failure to meaningfully address it. Travelers should be aware of my experience when deciding whether to stay here.

The rooms aren’t that clean, the staff is décent and the air conditionning works.

El hotel le falta cariño, pero mi estancia superó todo con el servicio. Los empleados superó eficiente y todo lo que necesitaba o pedía casi al momento lo proteína. Lo que nunca vi fue limpieza en la habitación. Estuve 6 dias, super conveniente y lo mas importante la estación del tren super cerca.

The motor was running throughout the night, making a constant noise that made it extremely difficult for us to sleep. This was honestly the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The staff were not friendly or helpful at all. I also asked for a TV remote, but they never provided one. Overall, the noise, poor service, and lack of basic amenities made our stay very unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location as the subway is nearby and gives quick and easy access to Manhattan. The rooms were okay, fairly small and could be a bit cleaner. The property offers paid parking
