Wingate by Wyndham Long Island City

This was a beautiful hotel. The design decor was very tasteful. The rooms were clean and I had a skyline window view of the city. I will definitely book again

Hotel is very clean and modern. However there is low income housing is nearby and people staying outside. In general, I felt safe despite dirty street and noises made by locals. M train is 5 mins walking distance which leads to Manhattan. Also Brooklyn and Queens buses are one block away. Excellent hotel for Manhattan tourists. Bad hotel to enjoy neighborhood.

Check-in was easy and fast. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. It had two comfortable beds. There was maid service every day, including made beds and clean towels. The common areas were large and clean. The staff held luggage for both our travel companions and us, even though they were not staying at the hotel. We did not try breakfast, nor need parking. There is a subway station 5 minutes away, and getting to Manhattan was fast and easy. We also took the train to Brooklyn. Staying at this hotel was much less expensive than being in Manhattan, and the very short travel time trade-off was well worth it. I met the owner near the elevators, and he was friendly and wanted to ensure our stay was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel and we would happily stay there again.

Delis close by. The suite was nice. Views of LIC are beautiful. All staff was very kind, and helpful. They will store your luggage for you at check-in or out. Amenities are lacking a bit. The room came equipped with a mini fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and safe. No microwave unfortunately. WiFi is not free and cell service was weak. The only ice machine is on the first floor. The breakfast buffet had many options but the food was okay.

I like the location, the hotel is just a 5 min walk to the train station. Breakfast was good, and the room layout is great. The Staff was very friendly and seemed like they were always available if I did need help. The room was very clean and well stocked. The only thing I wish the room had was a vent in the bathroom. Other than that, I feel it was a great room to stay in.

Helpful staff, magnificent view, daily room service, abundant supply of snacks at reception, good compact grocery stores at the street corner, bus/subway stops 150m away limited breakfast, but still above average for US hotel at this level

The view was incredible! Very clean and comfortable The breakfast finished early and wasn’t great but would sustain you for the morning! Coffee was available all day which was much appreciated!!

I can not think of any negatives because it was great!

It was clean and the bed were super comfortable. I loved the way the shower control was against the wall as you first enter the shower before the water hits you. You can adjust the temperature of the water before stepping in. Phenomenal! Never saw that done before. Its the details like that are above and beyond comfort! I can not think of any negatives because it was great!

The staff was great, The suit room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was also very comfortable. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good. We lucked out with a parking spot, there are only 4 regular and 2 handicap parking spaces for the hotel guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7-night stay at the Wingate. The hotel was clean, welcoming, and truly felt like a home away from home. The staff was always attentive, and having daily room cleaning made our stay even more relaxing. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, but the highlight was definitely the convenient location. The nearest subway station is just a short 6–7 minute walk away, getting us into downtown Manhattan in just 2 to 3 stops. Highly recommended! While the stay itself was great, the surrounding area did take a little getting used to. Coming from Europe, I felt slightly uncomfortable walking around at times due to some sketchy activity, loud music, and loitering on the streets. That said, nothing negative actually happened to us, and there is a visible police presence patrolling the area all day, which helped us feel reasonably safe, it was more about personal comfort than actual danger.

We stayed here for two nights. We stayed with another couple, got two rooms, planned to be next to eachother. The other group with us when to go into their room and there was a person sleeping in there in a full tux, feet hanging off the bed. (Alive thankfully) went down to the desk calmly to tell the staff, the male at the front tried to blame the female. We went into the elevator with the male staff and he ended up telling us it was an employee sleeping in the room. Mind you, the room was fully cleaned and set up for the next guests. Gross! Finally got into our rooms, now we are one different floors. Annoying but we dealt with it. The female up front was super apologetic. The male could care less. Kind of laughed it off and said they weren’t supposed to put people in that room. Mind you, he was the one who checked us in. Offered us nothing in return, just a “my bad”. Beds were comfy, shower pressure sucked (not shocking). Def wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the initial check in, area and lack of apologies.
