The 2 bunk bed room is *extremely* tiny with a teeny window but the beds were comfortable and everything was clean (if a little bit worn). The bathroom door is just a couple feet from the bed and you can see through the glass wall/door. There is almost zero privacy, so nobody should stay in that room type without being extremely comfortable using the toilet basically in front of their roommate. Grievances: The food was bland and overpriced both in the bar and in the adjacent restaurant (a plate of pasta with 4 shrimp and 3 bits of broccoli for $40 is WILD-- and I live in this city!!) There's nowhere to really put your toiletry bag in the room, doors slamming up and down the hallway, and easy to hear the alarm going off in the room across from us. My biggest complaint was the horrible deep vibrating noise that went on and on when the AC/heat was on. Fortunately the weather was mild enough to shut it off, but we could still hear the relentless sound from other rooms and it felt like a minor form of torture trying to fall sleep. I would have changed rooms (room 1005) if I was staying more than one night.

Great place. So clean! Comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the view from the rooftop garden area is fantastic, great price, perfect location- walking distance to Grand Central, Times Square, NY Public Library, Bryant Park. My go-to for every NYC trip.

This was the perfect hotel for a solo trip. Clean, comfortable, great location, and the staff was super friendly. The only negative i saw was that the bathroom door had an open spot instead of a doorknob - no big deal for me, but people traveling together might want more privacy!

Excellent for solo travel - a bed and roof over my head with money on hotel saved for shows and food! I’ve stayed many times and staff is always lovely. Great location for the subway and bus too! Staff was very quick to respond to a plumbing issue. Quiet rooms.

The room - tiny, sparse, super clean, nice bedding, cool!, dark, quiet. In room shower/toilet/sink also tiny and completely adequate. This is not a room you will hang out in. It’s a sleeping space with private bathroom. If you bring a lot of luggage, go elsewhere. If you travel light and spend the days out, stay here. The roof top bar is amazing. Lovely view of Empire State and other icons. They have non-alcoholic options. Food menu is short yet everything is top notch and fresh. The staff were helpful and friendly. The vibe is fun, not too serious. The neighborhood feels safe, and is super convenient to jump on the subway and go anywhere. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. I would stay here again.

location for sure, nice bar with ambience at the ground floor and really cute and cool bar on roof top. Room is quiet so coould rest well. Of course, rooms are small but thats to be expected in NY I guess. no cuboard in room (goes to space in room).
