Everything was good

Room had overflowing garbage when entering. Shower barely worked, head needed replacement. Beds full of springs. Staff helpful but overall hotel needs major refresh.

Breakfast was super busy.

Situated near--but not in--Times Square, this hotel is a gem! The staff is consistently helpful, upbeat and informative. The need your room key to access hotel room floors is welcomed, and the breakfast that is included in the room charge far surpassed other offerings. The location is perfect for activities that are mid-down-and uptown. We chose a room with a view of the Empire State Building for our first-time New Yorker who was with us. It was spectacular! Room size is ample and shower/bath combination was exceptional. This hotel met or surpassed all of our expectations!

All in all a very nice hotel when visiting New York.

Great staff, located in the heart of NYC and walking distance to Times Square.

I feel like I no longer need to look for the perfect Midtown hotel… This is it!

Overall the property was in a good location and the room was clean and surprisingly large. Staff was very helpful and they had a pretty extensive complimentary breakfast which was really nice. Property was a little run down, such as the elevators looked rough and the cabinet in the bathroom needed to be replaced (they had done a poor patch job on it).

This hotel was in a great location for a trip to NYC. I stayed with my two daughters and it was perfect for our trip. Having a kitchen was great as it meant we could get take out and eat from plates at the breakfast bar and then keep snacks in the fridge. The breakfast was also great with loads of choice including waffles, bagels, cereal, sausage, bacon and eggs etc. This set us up for the day and really helped to keep the cost of the holiday down as New York is expensive. The staff were so friendly particularly Andre. Our room had the most amazing views of the Empire State Building! I cannot fault this hotel.

This review is only about our room the staff and management were fantastic. I have no issues with them. The room’s plumbing is another issue. It was horrible. First night no hot water unless you run the water for at least 15 minutes before you get lukewarm water. Same night bathroom sink backed up. Now Sunday. They had a fire alarm problem throughout the hotel. Started at 10:30pm and ended around midnight. Now Monday the toilet needed to be snaked 4 times. Again the hot water situation arose. I brought all of these problems to the manager. He was great they comped us one night no questions asked. So I appreciated that. I would especially want to thank Dave the maintenance man he went beyond on the call of duty. Again the staff and management were fabulous.

I was shocked at how spacious the room was. It’s a super central location, i took the subway + one bus from the airport and the subway station was just a few steps away. There was breakfast, a 24 hour gym and overall it was very lovely. The only frustrating thing was that we were on the 10th floor and 2/4 elevators would not go to our floor so we would have to either wait or get off on another floor and then try to catch one of them that worked.

The only thing that I like w/ Residence Inn hotel is it’s accessible to different tourist spots in NYC. Wide variety of restaurant nearby the hotel, Times Square is walkable at around 10-15mins. Breakfast is good but I hope they modify their breakfast buffet everyday. Staff are friendly and helpful about our inquiries. They clean room everyday which is good but they lack of toiletries like lotion.
