Very friendly staff and large rooms especially for manhattan . Location is very good .

Excellent place to book for an amazing NYC experience!

We had two rooms for four days and this is based on both rooms. Great location and wonderful staff. Thre rooms were clean, and had comfortuble beds. We were there during a usually high tempature, heat advisory, week but the AC's were able to keep up with the tempatures. The only negatives, were the T.V.'s seemed to be unable to find any channels, or very few when we tried to watch it. Also, the shower water pressure was low, but the tub pressure was not. Strange. We did not report these issues as it was not a huge deal. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay. Because of the location and the fabulous staff, we would go back.

Clean, spacious, and attentive staff. Great midtown location right next to Essa's bagels and multiple subway stations. Near the Roc, too

Can’t beat it. Just lovely

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Room was clean and had everything we needed. It was warm and muggy in town during our stay and the AC made the hotel and room both very comfortable. The staff was super helpful at all times and very friendly.

We stayed here for 7 nights as a family of 3. The room was a really good size, with plenty of amenities. The staff were all helpful and nothing was too much trouble. On the days we had rain, the hotel even provided loan umbrellas. Great location and would highly recommend.

We were impressed with the size of the room with a king bed, sitting area with a sofa/pull out bed, 2 comfortable side chairs and a coffee table. While we didn’t use the kitchenette it would be great for a family. The room was very spacious by NYC standards for 3 people. The room was quiet and the air conditioning kept us very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great location. Nice size suite. Will return.

Had a great stay at the San Carlos Hotel. Location was great, very centralized to what I needed while in NYC and location was off the main streets which was nice to not be bombarded with the sounds of the city. Nicely appointed room, I stayed in the Junior Suite which was very generous in size and worked out well with the sofa bed. I do wish the property was modernized as the interior and rooms were very traditional in style / decor. I just personally prefer a more modern look, but I would not hesitate to stay at the San Carlos in the future as I really enjoyed the property overall.

We love the neighborhood - and it's not even a full block from the subway. Quick and easy to get anywhere you want in the city! We will DEFINITELY be back!

This place is no-frills without much of a lobby and no on-site restaurant, but it is really good quality for the price and a great location, walkable to Rockefeller, Times Square, Grand Central, Central Park, etc. We booked a suite and it was especially helpful to have a second bathroom for our family. Bobby was also incredibly helpful, he set up airport rides for us and had excellent customer service. Everyone that we came in contact with that worked there was very kind.
