Company Travel Policy Enforcement

Last updated September 1, 2026

At a glance

Admins configure travel rules by booking type and choose Not Allowed, Allowed with Reason, or Allowed with Approval. Engine checks the rules during search, selection, and checkout.

How it works

Admins set policies for lodging, flights, and cars from Travel Policies settings: lodging rate caps, star-rating limits, flight cabin class, maximum flight cost, and daily rental-car caps. Enforcement happens in the flow. Search labels options Out of Policy, server-side checks run at selection, and checkout can require a reason, approval, or permitted payment method.

Who it is for and how to use it

It is for companies that want controls applied before a booking completes. An admin creates policies, sets thresholds, picks an enforcement mode, and assigns them to departments or groups. Use Allowed with Reason when exceptions need visibility, Allowed with Approval when a decision is required, and Not Allowed for hard blocks.
