How it works
Engine documents five travel role types: Admin, Department Manager, Coordinator, Traveler, and View Only Traveler. Admins can add members individually or through a bulk upload, then assign a role, department, and travel policy. They can assign the View Only Traveler role when someone should see trips booked for them without self-booking or modification access. Members receive an invitation to finish account setup and can maintain their own traveler information.
Who it is for and how to use it
These controls are for companies coordinating travel across employees, teams, and departments. Admins manage company-wide membership and permissions. Department managers can manage members in their assigned department. Coordinators and travelers receive access based on their role and the company settings enabled by an admin. Use the narrowest role and permissions that fit each person’s responsibilities.
