Same order as the list above: ranked by a hotel's total event space across all its meeting rooms. The largest single room is shown here, so that column can run out of order. Space figures come from each hotel's meeting-space records. A dash means the hotel's data doesn't list that detail, not that it's unavailable.

Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should I book hotel rooms for a corporate event in Bloomington?
For the best availability and rates, book guest rooms at least three to six months before your event, especially if it coincides with an Indiana University academic calendar peak or a local festival. If you need nine or more rooms, Engine Groups can handle the room block; for eight or fewer, you can book self-serve through Engine. Booking early also gives you more time to finalize meeting space and logistics with the property.
What amenities can conference attendees expect at hotels in Bloomington?
Most hotels offer free wifi, on-site parking, and some form of on-site dining, though specifics vary by property. Business centers, fitness rooms, and complimentary breakfast are also common. It's a good idea to confirm directly with the hotel which amenities are included and whether any carry an additional fee.
Can Engine help with both the guest rooms and the meeting space for my event?
Yes. For guest rooms, if you need nine or more, Engine Groups handles the room block; for eight or fewer, you book self-serve. For the meeting or event space itself, you can find and request venues through Engine Spaces, which connects you to thousands of meeting and event spaces. Engine helps you source both pieces in one place.
What should I compare when choosing among these hotels for a large meeting?
Look at the size of each hotel's largest event space and its capacity, for example, the IU Biddle Hotel's Tudor Room runs about 6,600 square feet and holds up to 600 people, while the Hilton Garden Inn's Grand Ballroom is about 3,300 square feet with capacity for up to 350. Also compare the total number of event spaces (useful if you need breakout rooms), guest-room count, and proximity to the airport serving Bloomington or Indiana University. On-site catering, AV capabilities, and parking availability can vary, so confirm those details with the property.
What makes a hotel a strong choice for hosting a conference?
A strong conference hotel offers ample meeting space, enough guest rooms to accommodate your attendees, and on-site amenities like dining and parking. The IU Biddle Hotel, for instance, has 17 event spaces and 189 guest rooms, while the Hilton Garden Inn offers 7 event spaces and 168 rooms. Properties with multiple event spaces give you flexibility for breakout sessions, and a higher guest-room count means more of your group can stay under one roof.
