Same order as the list above: ranked by event space, with a tilt toward hotels that list wedding services, a reception hall, or banquet space. Space and amenity details come from each hotel's own records. A dash means the hotel's data doesn't list that detail, not that it's unavailable.

Frequently asked questions

What should I compare when choosing a hotel for my wedding guests in Oregon?
Start with location. If your ceremony is in Portland, the Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront, Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, and Hilton Portland Downtown all offer multiple event spaces and hundreds of guest rooms. Compare room rates, parking options, and proximity to your venue. If guests are flying in, consider distance to Portland International Airport.
Can I book both guest rooms and reception space through Engine?
Yes. For guest rooms, Engine Groups handles blocks of 9 or more rooms, and you can book 8 or fewer rooms yourself. The hotel's event and reception space can be searched and booked through Engine Spaces, Engine's marketplace of hotel meeting and event spaces across the U.S. and Canada, or you can arrange it with the hotel directly.
How do I reserve a block of rooms for out-of-town guests?
If you need 9 or more rooms, Engine Groups will handle the booking for you. For 8 rooms or fewer, you can book directly through Engine. Both options offer consolidated invoicing and pre-negotiated rates with no membership fee.
How far ahead should I book hotel rooms for my wedding?
Six to twelve months is a good window, especially for popular dates like summer weekends or holiday weekends. Popular hotels in Portland can fill up quickly during peak wedding season. Booking early gives your guests better room availability and often better rates.
What makes a hotel work well for a wedding?
Event space is the foundation. The Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront offers about 18,000 square feet in its Grand Ballroom and 26 event spaces total, with 320 guest rooms on-site. Having guest rooms in the same building means your family and wedding party can get ready without leaving the property. Amenities like catering, on-site coordination, and getting-ready suites vary by property, so confirm those details with each hotel.
